The Hague Apostille: What is it?

The Hague Apostille is a document that verifies the authenticity of the document it accompanies. Physically it is an independent sheet that is attached to the public document and that shows the signature and seal that guarantees its legality. This simplified method of legalization was introduced by the “Hague Convention” on October 5th, 1961.

What documents can be apostilled?

Civil registration documents can be apostilled, for example: birth, marriage, divorce, single or death certificates. But not only those, but also notarized documents, certificates and/or academic degrees, employment, income, medical or property certificates, etc.

The Hague Apostille and the FBI background check

On the other hand, to work, travel, adopt, teach English, obtain dual citizenship or get married abroad, the destination country requests the FBI background check report and its corresponding apostille.

Our company is dedicated to this process: processing FBI apostilles directly with the United States Department of State in Washington, D.C.

What are the advantages of the Hague Apostille?

Speed

It is a much faster legal process, since you do not need to go through as many institutions. It is only necessary to issue the apostille so that your papers can be valid in another country.

Confort

The Hague Apostille converts the heavy and endless chain of visits to Embassies and/or Consulates, appointments with officials and with public administrations to legalize your documents in a single process.

Leave it in our hands: we take care of everything
